Inauguration of the Bell Tower and Stele Tower at Nguyen Xi Temple

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of December 1, at the national historical and cultural relic of the temple of Grand Master Cuong Quoc Cong Nguyen Xi (Nghi Hop commune, Nghi Loc district), the Nguyen Dinh clan and clan council held the inauguration ceremony of the Bell tower and the Stele tower.

Professor, People's Teacher Nguyen Dinh Chu rang the first bell.

Guests and relatives attended the ceremony.

The two above constructions were built on the left and right sides of the temple; the "Dai Hong Chung" bell tower weighs 1,300kg of bronze, is 2.15m high, and has a diameter of 1.1m. The stele tower has a precious stone stele, on the base showing the content praising the great achievements of Nguyen Xi, granted by King Thanh Tong. The construction costs for these two special meaningful constructions were donated by Colonel Hero of Labor Nguyen Dang Giap, General Director of Company 36 - Ministry of National Defense, along with his family and comrades. In addition, 20 families of descendants in the clan donated 22.5 taels of gold at the time of casting the bell.

The completed Bell Tower and Stele Tower have created a majestic architectural space for the temple, contributing to educating descendants in the family to return to their roots and show gratitude to their ancestors, and being a place for cultural exchange in a sacred land of Nghe An. This is a respectful gift on the occasion of the 548th death anniversary (October 30, Quy Ty) of the talented general, who had great contributions in the cause of fighting foreign invaders, protecting and building the Dai Viet nation in the 15th century.
