Inauguration of the public housing for Tuong Duong 2 High School

Tuong Duong 2 High School is located in Tam Quang commune, in the border area with Laos, 30km from the district center. The school's students are mainly from Tam Quang, Tam Dinh, Yen Thang, Yen Hoa, Nga My, Xieng My communes... with more than 70% being children of ethnic minorities such as Thai, Kho Mu, O Du...

This is also one of the most disadvantaged high schools in Nghe An province. The school has 41 staff members, most of whom are young. Many teachers come here from lowland districts such as Vinh City, Nam Dan, Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Yen Thanh, etc. to teach, so the need for housing for teachers and workers is very high.

From this difficult reality, in March 2018, the Vietnam Education Trade Union, Nghe An Education Trade Union, and Tuong Duong district jointly supported nearly 1 billion VND for the school to build public housing for teachers. Of which, the support from the Vietnam Education Trade Union was 500 million VND.

After nearly 3 months of construction, the project was completed with 5 rooms, an area of ​​261 m2, of which the housing construction area is 138.6 m2 and the yard area is 122.4 m2.

On this occasion, the Vietnam Education Trade Union and Education and Times Newspaper also presented gifts to Tuong Duong 2 High School and 4 gifts to teachers of the school in difficult circumstances.
