Inauguration of Hua Na Hydropower Plant
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of September 20, in Dong Van commune (Que Phong district), Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PVN) and Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation (PV Power) held the inauguration ceremony of Hua Na Hydropower Plant.
Attending the inauguration ceremony were comrades: Vu Huy Hoang, member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Industry and Trade; Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Cuong, Commander of Military Region 4; Phung Dinh Thuc - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group; leaders of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group; Vietnam Oil and Gas Power Corporation; leaders of project contractors.
On behalf of Nghe An provincial leaders, attending the inauguration ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors; leaders of Que Phong district.

In addition to ensuring the progress and quality of the Plant's items, PV Power HHC closely coordinated with departments of Nghe An province, Que Phong district and communes in the affected resettlement area, initially stabilizing the lives of more than 1,300 households at 13 resettlement sites. This is the first hydropower plant of PVN and the second largest hydropower plant of Nghe An province in the Western region.
The operation of Hua Na Hydropower Plant has many strategic meanings, contributing to increasing national electricity output, ensuring national defense and security, creating jobs, increasing budget revenue, shifting economic structure, creating conditions for population relocation, stabilizing life, contributing to hunger eradication and poverty reduction, building new rural areas for the mountainous areas of Que Phong district in particular and Nghe An province in general.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and praised the efforts of the investor and contractors during the construction process, and the consensus of the affected people during the resettlement process. He requested the investor to continue to operate the factory effectively and continue to coordinate with departments, branches and sectors of Nghe An province, Que Phong district and communes to effectively implement post-resettlement issues for the people, and pay attention to environmental issues during the operation process.

On this occasion, in recognition of the efforts of the Investor, contractors and related departments during the implementation of the Project, the Prime Minister awarded certificates of merit to PV Power HHC and the Company's leaders; the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Provincial People's Committee, and PVN also awarded certificates of merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements contributing to the good progress and efficiency of the construction of Hua Na Hydropower Plant./.
