(Baonghean.vn) -This afternoon (August 25), the Provincial People's Council's Culture and Social Affairs Committee had a meeting at the Provincial Endocrinology Hospital on the implementation of price regulations for some medical examination and treatment services according to Resolution No. 56/2012/NQ-HĐND of the province. Also participating in the survey were representatives of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the Department of Health.

However, the implementation process also revealed some difficulties and shortcomings. That is, some key specialized technical services of the hospital are still applying the old prices, while the costs of testing chemicals, consumables, electricity and water have increased, leading to insufficient costs to meet professional requirements. For example, specific tests to diagnose thyroid diseases such as Basedow's disease, hypothyroidism, goiter; quantification of thyroid and pituitary hormones... In particular, some technical services in diagnosing diabetes are not included in the prescribed list such as tests for hyperglycemia of all kinds, affecting the operation of the hospital and causing difficulties for patients. Some new technical services in the field of endocrinology help diagnose early complications of the disease, the construction price is lower than the actual price; some regulations on technical service prices stated in documents are unclear, causing difficulties in settlement...

On behalf of the survey team, Deputy Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council Ton Thi Cam Ha acknowledged the difficulties and shortcomings arising in the implementation of Resolution 56 of the Provincial People's Council; at the same time, she requested the hospital to carefully study to propose a new price that is accurate, especially for the field of endocrinology, suitable to the economic conditions of the province, ensuring the balance of the health insurance fund and benefits for patients.
