Survey on the socio-economic situation of ethnic minorities in Nghia Dan
(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing Decision No. 02/QD-TTg dated January 5, 2015 of the Prime Minister on Investigation and collection of information on the socio-economic situation of 53 ethnic minorities to form an information system and statistical data serving state management activities on ethnic affairs, on August 4, Nghe An Statistics Office conducted a survey in Nghia Tho and Nghia Loi communes, Nghia Dan district. Also attending were representatives of the General Statistics Office and the Ethnic Committee.

The objective of the investigation and collection of information on the socio-economic status of 53 ethnic minorities is not only to assess the development level of ethnic minorities compared to the national average but also to assess the equality between ethnic groups. This will serve as a basis for developing ethnic policies that encourage and support ethnic minorities to promote their internal strength and reduce the gap between the development levels of ethnic groups. The investigation and collection of information in the localities will end before August 31, 2015.
