The 30th SEA Games aspiration and Trong Hoang's special mission

After the Vietnam - Thailand match, Trong Hoang and Hung Dung will join 5 national players of U22 age, including Quang Hai, Van Hau, Thanh Chung, Tien Linh, Hoang Duc, Trong Hung, to fly to Ho Chi Minh City to join 18 other players of U22 Vietnam.

Previously, Coach Park Hang-seo had given 5 names as a reference for fans including Van Thanh, Van Toan and captain Que Ngoc Hai in the national team. Finally, Coach Park chose 1 versatile player and 1 central midfielder.

For Trong Hoang, this is the third SEA Games in his career. This is an opportunity for the Nghe An player to reclaim his debt in this playground over the past decade. Under coach Henrique Calisto, Nguyen Trong Hoang had his first SEA Games in 2009 in Laos.

At the 2011 SEA Games, Trong Hoang continued to be an important factor in coach Falko Goetz's squad. However, in the semi-finals, against a host Indonesia with high morale and superior physical strength, Thanh Luong, Van Quyet and Trong Hoang had to miss the match for the second time with a 0-2 loss.

The former captain of SLNA has 10 years of international experience, having played for 4 clubs in the V.League and most importantly, Trong Hoang has the ability to operate and convey Coach Park's magical 3-4-3 formation to his juniors.

At the age of 30, Trong Hoang's physical strength is still a mystery. The player born in 1989 can play the full 90 minutes like a true warrior, attacking and defending rhythmically. Looking at Trong Hoang's steps at the AFF Cup 2018 and Asian Cup 2019, no one would think he is the oldest player in the national team after Anh Duc retired from the team.

Today (November 20), after reducing the first list before moving to Ho Chi Minh City to 18 people, Coach Park Hang-seo continued to cross out the remaining names according to the regulations of the 2019 SEA Games Organizing Committee. Accordingly, the 5 names that must stay at home include Nguyen Trong Dai, Nguyen Van Hanh, Nguyen Huu Thang, Phan Thanh Hau and Ngo Hong Phuoc.

Thus, Trong Hoang is the only Nghe An player to participate in SEA Games 30. Nghe An fans have reason to be sad because U22 Vietnam does not have any young SLNA players. However, the presence of Trong Hoang not only helps the national team have more fighting spirit but also leads the way of playing.
