(Baonghean.vn) -On April 4, 2014, the Department of Building the People's Movement to Protect National Security (Department V28) of the Ministry of Public Security coordinated with Nghe An Police to award three comrades: Le Thanh Hai - police officer of Nam Linh commune, Nguyen Sy Thuong - police officer of Hung Tien commune (Nam Dan district) and Nguyen Huu Binh - permanent police officer of Ngoc Son commune (Do Luong district) for their outstanding achievements in the fight against crime before, during and after the recent Giap Ngo Lunar New Year.

Specifically, at 1:30 a.m. on January 31, 2014 (New Year's Eve), upon receiving a report that a fight had occurred at the Cultural House of Hamlet 8, Ngoc Son Commune, Do Luong, between a group of young men from Hamlet 6 and Hamlet 8, the Ngoc Son Commune Police Department was present at the scene to resolve the incident, but the subjects did not comply and even had opposing words. Comrade Nguyen Huu Binh directly stopped the fight, not letting the incident become more complicated. At this time, some subjects dropped their sticks and spears, but suddenly Nguyen Doan Bac, born in 1991 in Hamlet 6, pulled out a switchblade and stabbed him once in the back and once in the neck, seriously injuring Comrade Binh and requiring him to be taken to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment.

Then, at 12:30 on February 6, 2014, due to a previous conflict, Hoang Tien Dung residing in Dong Anh, Hanoi went to Trinh Thi Vinh's house in Hamlet 7, Nam Linh Commune, Nam Dan District to destroy property. Upon receiving the news, comrade Le Thanh Hai and comrades in the Commune Police Department quickly arrived, grasped the situation, and then asked Dung to return to the headquarters for questioning. Here, Dung showed a defiant and contemptuous attitude, and repeatedly hit comrade Hai in the face. Despite being beaten, he still resolutely used all means to resist and control the subject. However, Dung fought back more aggressively and fiercely to run away, forcing comrade Hai to rush in to control him and at the same time call his teammates to successfully surround and capture the subject. Comrade Hai was injured and had to be treated at Nam Dan District General Hospital.

As for comrade Nguyen Sy Thuong, while he and the Hung Tien Commune Police Department and Nam Dan District Police were on duty to protect and investigate the scene of a traffic accident between two motorbikes on February 5, 2014, which left one person dead on the spot, Nguyen Van Luan, residing in Tan Tien Hamlet, Hung Tien Commune, was driving a motorbike and did not comply with the police force's orders to drive straight into the scene. Immediately, comrade Thuong stopped the subject from intentionally causing trouble, but the subject still intentionally drove his motorbike into comrade Thuong, causing him to be injured in the abdomen and had to be treated at the hospital.

At the ceremony, the leaders of Department V28 - Ministry of Public Security presented 3 gifts to 3 comrades Le Thanh Hai, Nguyen Sy Thuong and Nguyen Huu Binh, and at the same time kindly asked about their health and praised the bravery of the 3 police officers, who, despite being injured, were still determined to attack and pursue criminals to the end. The leaders of Department V28 hope that the comrades will continue to be steadfast in the fight against crime for the peaceful life of the people.

On this occasion, the Department of Building the People's Movement to Protect National Security also awarded Certificates of Merit from the Provincial Police Director to three comrades Le Thanh Hai, Nguyen Sy Thuong and Nguyen Huu Binh.
