(Baonghean.vn) - On May 4, 2015, the People's Committee and the Nghe An Provincial Police organized an award ceremony for the 668B Project Team for their achievements in investigating and clarifying the synthetic drug trafficking ring from Hai Phong to Nghe An, arresting 2 subjects, seizing 4,000 ecstasy pills and many related evidences.

Previously, at around 4:15 a.m. on May 1, in the Phan Boi Chau street area of ​​Le Loi ward, Vinh city, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of the Provincial Police coordinated with a number of professional units to successfully break up Project 668B, arresting Le Ngoc Ba (born in 1977, residing in block 14, Le Loi ward, Vinh city), seizing 4,000 ecstasy pills, 6 mobile phones and 50 million VND in cash.

Conducting an emergency search of Le Ngoc Ba's residence at 321, D2, Quang Trung Ward, Vinh City, the Task Force seized an additional 100g of ketamine, 30g of crystal meth and many tools used by the subject to organize illegal drug use.

At 8:30 a.m. the same day, the Task Force arrested another suspect, Pham Thi Linh Thuong (born in 1993), at her residence in Dong Vinh Ward, Vinh City. Thuong, whose permanent residence is in Thanh Ngoc Commune, Thanh Chuong District, was the suspect who went to Hai Phong with Ba to get the goods.

Le Ngoc Ba is an especially dangerous criminal, with three previous convictions for drug crimes. For a long time, he has been illegally trading synthetic drugs as an agent, distributing them to Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces, having extensive relationships with many sophisticated methods of dealing with the authorities.
