In 2016, Ha Huy Tap Ward Police fought fiercely against all kinds of crimes. Especially drug crimes, arrested 20 cases, 24 subjects, including 4 special projects, seized 760 grams of heroin, 1.1 kg of crystal meth, 1 car, 15 motorbikes, 3 small scales. Typically, two special projects 126T and 246H were broken by Ha Huy Tap Ward Police, established in coordination with the professional departments of the Provincial Police to organize the fight.

To fight against the subjects, the leaders of Vinh City Police assigned the Ha Huy Tap Ward Police to establish a special project coded 246H. During the process of ambushing and monitoring, at 5:30 a.m. on December 24, when Ho Thi Thuy and Ha Ngoc Thang, residing in Vinh City, were transporting drugs on Mac Dinh Chi Street, in the Trung My block, Le Mao Ward, Vinh City, they were caught red-handed by the working group of the special project, confiscating in Ho Thi Thuy's hand 1 heroin cake, weighing 351 grams, 1 mobile phone.

At the same time, two working groups in the special investigation committee simultaneously executed emergency arrest warrants on Ngo Thi Hoa and Ngo Thi Toan, both residing in block 15, Ben Thuy ward, Vinh city, seizing one heroin tree weighing 42.5 grams, one mobile phone, and two electronic scales used to weigh drugs.

Previously, on December 19, Ha Huy Tap Ward Police presided over the destruction of a special case coded 126T, catching Nguyen Tri Kieu, residing in Vo Liet Commune, Thanh Chuong District, red-handed while transporting drugs on a local inter-village road, confiscating 1 heroin cake weighing 330 grams, 100 USD and 5 million VND in cash; Searching the house, confiscated 1 car, 1 hunting gun and 5 million VND in cash.
