Rewarding fishermen who saved the life of Su-30MK2 pilot
Ha Tinh Border Guard has awarded certificates of merit and rewards to fishermen who participated in rescuing Major Nguyen Huu Cuong, a Su-30MK2 pilot who had an accident at sea.
On July 11, the Ha Tinh Border Guard organized an award ceremony for fishermen with outstanding achievements in searching and rescuing the pilot of a Su-30MK2 aircraft that crashed during training in Nghe An waters.
Ha Tinh Border Guard awarded a Certificate of Merit to Mr. Pham Van Le - owner of fishing boat HT-20219 TS (residing in village 4, Thach Bang commune, Loc Ha district, Ha Tinh province).
Ha Tinh Border Guard also awarded certificates of merit to 3 fishermen of fishing boat HT-20219 TS including Mr. Tran Van Tam, Nguyen Van Kinh, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoan (Thach Kim commune, Loc Ha district, Ha Tinh province).

On behalf of the fishermen, Mr. Pham Van Le sincerely thanked the Ha Tinh Border Guard and all levels of the industry for their timely attention, encouragement and rewards to him personally as well as the fishermen who participated in the search and rescue of the pilot in the past time.
Colonel Tran Ngoc Thanh - Political Commissar of the Ha Tinh Border Guard Command acknowledged and highly appreciated the spirit and responsibility of the fishermen in coordinating with other forces and the Ha Tinh Border Guard to search, rescue and bring Major Nguyen Huu Cuong, the Su-30MK2 pilot who had an accident at sea, back to the mainland safely.
Colonel Thanh hopes that fishermen will always have good health to continue going out to sea.
Previously, at around 10:45 a.m. on June 15, the border guard ship of Squadron 2, Ha Tinh Border Guard, participating in the search and rescue of the pilot of the Su-30MK2 aircraft that crashed at sea in Nghe An, approached the fishing boat of Mr. Pham Van Le and successfully rescued Major Nguyen Huu Cuong.
Ha Tinh Border Guard visited, encouraged, provided medical care, and brought Major Cuong safely back to the mainland.
