When love can not overcome hatred

They used to be brothers, mother and daughter, husband and wife, but in court they were ready to call each other cruel names.

"Hate each other, throw stones at each other and break each other's heads"

The court sentenced the defendant to 6 months in prison. The defendant immediately appealed for a suspended sentence. The victim also appealed, but to increase the defendant's sentence. Those who followed the trial hardly expected that they were the mother-in-law and son-in-law.

The conflict began when the daughter told Mrs. Lan about her minor disagreements with her husband. Mrs. Lan was angry and scolded her son-in-law for daring to touch her "golden branch and jade leaf". The daughter listened to her mother and left her husband to live with her. The two houses were separated by a "mallow hedge", and every day she saw her daughter wither away from missing her husband. Instead of advising the young couple, the mother came over to curse her son-in-law. The two sides exchanged words and the son-in-law, in a moment of lack of self-control, threw a rock at his mother-in-law, causing 4% injury. After appealing, the appellate court upheld the sentence, which was also the time when the mother-in-law waited every day for the police to come and arrest her son-in-law. When the police escorted him away, the son-in-law did not forget to cast a hateful glance at his mother-in-law's garden when he saw her gloating smile.

The love is exhausted, the young couple's marriage has no way out!

"Every penny is divided, every dollar is counted"

During the process of resolving the case, the members of the court's property valuation council went from laughing and crying to being indignant when the husband asked them to value moldy bags of stork bran and a 10m landline telephone wire worth 2,000 VND.

...Hai and Hanh are both government officials and animal feed businessmen. After a long time of tolerating each other, the wife filed for divorce. In court, Hanh asked to give all her assets to her husband, she only wanted to have custody of their two children, but Hai refused, saying "if we get divorced, we will divide every penny, and calculate every dollar". He did not hesitate to rent a car to travel hundreds of kilometers, spending millions of dong on fees just to get a debt certificate worth a few hundred thousand dong. And then, when the court was having a headache because of the thick documents, the husband "got excited" and stole the common property that his wife was managing, and after several months of investigation, Hai had to accept an undeserved sentence. The two children looked at their father with sympathy! They were not old enough to understand their parents' story...

"We are like brothers...!"

Five years have passed, it was thought that the land dispute case between sisters Mrs. Yen and Mr. Nam had been settled, but now the court officials met them again. Mrs. Yen - still small in stature, still carrying a heavy bag of documents on her shoulder like five years ago, the only difference is that now she is old, unable to walk by herself, so every time she appears in court, she has to have a motorbike taxi driver accompany her. Her hometown is Yen Thanh, after getting married and following her husband to a mountainous district of the province, she has to wake up early in the morning to be on time for work. Mr. Nam - still maintains the arrogant look of a sure winner. More than five years ago, before passing away, her parents left a piece of land to Mrs. Yen, but because she was far away, they let Mr. Nam stay there. When the price of real estate skyrocketed, Mr. Nam had the intention of taking over the land and they took each other to court. After two levels of trial (first instance, appeal), Mr. Nam refused to lose, so he had to rely on the Supreme Court's decision. Due to a procedural error, the case was dismissed and returned to the court of first instance. They confronted each other regardless of everything. They were no longer sisters like they used to be when they shared meals together... The strange thing was that both families were well-off. They "won or lost" not for money but to... vent their anger.

In conclusion

As society develops, disputes inevitably arise, but if only those who do everything to win would understand that... what they gain and lose after dragging each other to court is not because of money or any other benefit, but simply because of... unnecessary hatred.
