(Baonghean) - In recent years, the attention to developing high-tech applications of Nghe An General Hospital has always been associated with training and assigning responsibilities to young people.

Strive to master technology, practice medical ethics, be responsible for yourself and your patients, know how to sacrifice, share, and contribute to the development of the hospital with their strong presence, especially young party members. Talking about them, the Hospital Director - Doctor Nguyen Danh Linh said: "They are the future of the hospital, so it is natural to pay attention to training and imparting experience. Moreover, let's give those enthusiastic people the opportunity to assert themselves."

With the bold viewpoint of assigning work to young people of the Party Committee and Board of Directors, there are quite a few outstanding young faces of the hospital. Many of them have been given decisions on heads of departments, rooms, or the right to be in charge of newly established departments such as Dr. Le Nhat Huy (Department of Internal Medicine and Respiratory Medicine), Thai Van Chuong (Department of Musculoskeletal System), Ngo Duc Ky (Department of Endocrinology - Diabetes), Dinh Van Sinh (Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology), Nguyen Huu Nam (Department of Thoracic Surgery)... in which the heads of departments are mainly from the 8X generation. It is also understandable that in the conference to honor the typical faces of the health sector in the past 5 years, 4 out of 5 delegates of Nghe An General Hospital of Friendship were young people.

Passing on experience to young doctors at the Department of Intensive Care and Anti-Poison.

We met at the Department of Intensive Care and Anti-Poisoning, nurse Pham Van Dong (born in 1987) when he was busy with a blood filtration case. With this new technique, Dong was trusted to study with another young nurse to implement in the department. Thanks to that, he saved the lives of many patients. But that also meant that Dong and his colleague had to take turns constantly and be ready to be present when required. Dong confided: "It's okay, I'm young, and I'm trusted to study new techniques, I have to be responsible to do my job well."

Also here, we met young party member - doctor Tran Phuong when he was busy examining patients at the beginning of the day. The Intensive Care Unit is one of the most stressful departments of the hospital, with the characteristic of seriously ill patients transferred from other departments and rooms. 30 beds, always full, most patients need ventilators and the disease progression is measured in hours. To master high-tech machinery and technology, the hospital Party Committee has created conditions for young party members like doctor Tran Phuong to study to improve their professional skills and foreign languages, periodically organize scientific activities at the department, online exchanges with the participation of leading professors and doctors of Bach Mai Hospital (Hanoi) and doctors at 12 provincial hospitals from Quang Ngai and beyond...

The determination of the hospital's Party Committee, the dynamism and continuous learning of the young Party members have brought about encouraging results, creating a strong influence. Currently, the Intensive Care Unit has successfully applied advanced techniques such as advanced mechanical ventilation for pneumonia patients, continuous blood filtration for septic shock and toxic shock patients, plasma exchange for myasthenia gravis patients, polyneuritis, polyneuropathy, ventricular shunt placement and intracranial pressure measurement.

In the past, patients with diseases considered to be serious such as open heart disease, laryngeal cancer, etc. often had to go to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, which was very expensive. Now, even at provincial hospitals, they have been successfully treated. Many cases of open heart surgery, kidney transplant surgery; laryngeal cancer surgery; endoscopic surgery for esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, lung cancer, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography to remove stones and worms; brain tumor surgery, surgery for severe spinal trauma; cataract surgery using the Phaco method; cochlear implant surgery; thrombolytic therapy; intervention of brain and liver vessels, etc. have brought confidence to patients, affirming high technical quality.

The pioneering and effective role of the young party members is also clearly demonstrated in the implementation of new techniques: Holter electrocardiogram, Pro-BNP, diagnosis of Dengue IgM Dengue IgG, Herpes Virus IgM, Herpes Virus IgG, removal of large liver flukes by ELISA technique... This is the result of many years of preparation in terms of human resources, facilities and legal basis, at the same time marking a new development step, a new height of the provincial health sector, recognized and highly appreciated by doctors, physicians and leading experts of the Central Government.

“The opportunity for us is not only a job, but also a good working environment, a spacious facility, modern equipment, the opportunity to study, to gain more experience, to be trusted with important responsibilities. What more could we wish for? Maybe, there are times when we are lacking and stumble, but we will try our best to contribute with all our heart to the patients”. The enthusiastic sharing of young Party member doctor Thai Van Chuong, who was assigned to be in charge of the Department of Internal Medicine - Bones - Joints, is also the common thought of the team of young doctors at Nghe An General Hospital.
