Industrial production momentum at the beginning of the year in Nghe An
In the first days of the new year, many factories and enterprises started production. Increased orders and enthusiastic working spirit returned right after the Lunar New Year holiday of At Ty 2025 is the common picture at export enterprises today.

On the morning of the 7th day of the Lunar New Year, all workers and employees of Minh Anh Nghe An Garment Joint Stock Corporation started the first working day of Spring with an excited spirit. This is a "leading" enterprise in the textile and garment sector in Nghe An with 4 factories, including Minh Anh - Kim Lien, Minh Anh - Do Luong, Minh Anh - Tan Ky and Minh Anh - Con Cuong, with a total workforce of more than 7,500 people.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh - Party Secretary, Deputy General Director of Minh Anh Nghe An Garment Joint Stock Corporation said that last year, the company's export turnover reached 4,800 billion VND, an increase of 10% compared to the previous year, mainly exported to the US market.
“2024 is also a year that marks many positive results for the textile and garment industry. Vietnamese textile and garment products are in the high-end segment, so their value and profits are better…” - Mr. Vinh emphasized.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, from Thanh Chuong district, a garment line worker, said: "On the occasion of Tet At Ty, in addition to the Tet bonus, I also received support from the company for transportation back to my hometown. Partly because I did not want to lose a working day, partly because I was grateful to the company for always taking care of my job and providing a stable income, so on the first day of production, my colleagues and I were all present and happily worked overtime. Working overtime means increased income, so everyone was excited."
The bustling production atmosphere is also easily seen at the garment factory of Vinatex Hoang Mai Garment Joint Stock Company (Quynh Vinh commune, Hoang Mai town). On the morning of the 6th day of Tet, more than 600 workers started their production shift. This factory was built on an area of more than 32,000 m2, with 24 sewing lines, creating jobs for about 900 workers. Main products are men's and women's clothing, exported to markets in Europe, America, Japan...
Mr. Tran Van Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of Vinatex Hoang Mai Garment Joint Stock Company said that in 2024, the company was full of orders until the end of the year and had many shipments to European and American markets. Last year, the company increased salaries and benefits for workers, so it was able to maintain the number of 650 workers on the production line.
The garment export market has recovered in the past year thanks to the shift of orders from China, Bangladesh, and Myanmar to Vietnam. Inventory in key markets such as the US, Europe, and Japan has tended to decrease compared to the same period last year, combined with increasing purchasing power and many orders. It is expected that garment orders in 2025 will continue to be abundant, but unit prices have not improved significantly. In the long term, when the policy of cutting interest rates in major markets really has a positive impact on the economy, creating stable jobs and increasing purchasing power, unit prices will improve.
Support business breakthroughs
Previously, on the 4th day of Tet, at Dong Hoi Industrial Park, Hoang Mai, in the spring atmosphere, the entire production block with nearly 600 workers of Hoa Sen Nghe An Factory simultaneously started working. After the meeting, the company's leaders gave lucky money to the workers and laborers, the production lines simultaneously pressed the start button, urgently preparing for export orders to Europe. The products include thick galvanized steel coils, color-coated cold-rolled steel coils.
Mr. Van Huy Dong in Quynh Loc commune, Hoang Mai town has more than 14 years of experience working at Hoa Sen Group. Currently, Mr. Dong is the line manager of cold rolling line 2, an experienced manager and one of the people who contributed to the development of Hoa Sen Nghe An Factory from the very beginning.
Mr. Van Huy Dong said that the reason for staying with the Company for a long time, in addition to working close to his family, is the clear benefits, stable income and working in a professional environment are the deciding factors. In addition, with the Company's emphasis on occupational safety, he said that he works in a highly safe environment, always receives training courses on occupational safety, and identifies unsafe risks to be able to protect himself and the company's assets during work.
Mr. Ho Xuan Sy - Director of Hoa Sen Nghe An One Member Co., Ltd. said: At the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, the number of orders is on the rise, and at the same time, the end of the lunar year is the time when Hoa Sen Group promotes export orders, so Hoa Sen Nghe An Factory is operating at maximum capacity of the production lines to meet the demand for orders. The total output in January 2025 reached 48,000 tons for both domestic and export markets. Currently, the Factory is focusing all its personnel and resources to speed up production progress, meeting the increased demand for orders in early 2025.
The company is creating stable values and income, ensuring to meet the expectations of local workers. In addition to the prescribed salary regime, the company applies allowances such as: meal allowance, phone allowance, seniority allowance and some other regimes. The company also buys insurance for officers and employees, issues procedures and regulations on labor safety, environmental sanitation and fire prevention and fighting, provides equipment and labor protection equipment to ensure the safest working environment.
Mr. Ho Xuan Sy added that in 2025, the Company plans to produce about 700,000 tons of finished products, with an estimated profit of more than 610 billion VND. The Company is carrying out procedures with the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board to apply for projects to expand production scale at Hoa Sen Nghe An Factory, increase capacity, and meet the growing demand of the market.
Along with that, the Factory is also planning to recruit a large number of personnel with required professional qualifications from intermediate, elementary vocational level and above, prioritizing the use of local labor resources. At the same time, it is proposing human resource training roadmaps to improve the quality of human resources, meet labor requirements and lay the foundation for future management personnel.
