As soon as it reached the shore, a mysterious tycoon named Tuan, believed to be from Tien Hai district, Thai Binh, spent 1.5 billion to buy the fish. Thinking he had gotten a bargain, Mr. Thang was later asked by many brokers to buy the fish for up to 3 billion VND.

The sale of the golden croaker for 1.5 billion has caused a stir in Thai Binh. This fish is being sold at a price “more expensive than gold” because it has a very special bladder, which is used in medicine in developed countries as a very effective tool. Female angler catches golden croaker worth over a hundred million

On the morning of August 10, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Hanh and her husband caught a large, golden-bodied fish, nearly one meter long, in the Tien River in Tam Hiep Commune, Binh Dai District, Ben Tre. After being confirmed as a golden croaker, by noon of the same day, someone had offered more than a hundred million for the rare fish.

Golden pomfret fish in Quang Binh is priced at half a billion

In November 2015, Mr. Nguyen Tien Nhat caught a rare golden croaker at Gianh wharf, Thanh Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh. When the information was revealed, many people flocked to Mr. Nhat's house to see the precious fish. There were traders who offered half a billion VND to buy the fish, but Mr. Nhat did not sell.

On the afternoon of October 28, 2015, Mr. Lu The Vinh, living in Cam Phu Ward, Cam Ranh City, Khanh Hoa, caught a golden pomfret in Cam Ranh Bay. The fish weighed 5.7 kg, was 80 cm long, had yellow scales and tail, and a red mouth. Since catching the golden pomfret, Mr. Vinh has had to worry about entertaining visitors and guarding against thieves. Some people offered a high price, but Mr. Vinh did not sell.
