Faculty of Construction - Vinh University: Celebrating 10 years of establishment
(Baonghean.vn) - This morning, April 27, the Faculty of Construction, Vinh University, held a ceremony to celebrate its 10th anniversary (2002-2012) with the participation of representatives of the Party Committee, Board of Directors, trade unions, school organizations and many generations of teachers and students of the faculty through the years.

The Faculty of Construction of Vinh University, formerly the Faculty of Technology, was established on April 17, 2002, according to Decision No. 1715 of the Ministry of Education and Training. Overcoming the difficulties of the first day of establishment, from 100 students of the first course, the whole faculty now has a training scale of more than 2,000 students for both full-time and part-time programs. 80% of lecturers have teaching materials according to the new program; Science and technology work has had positive results: 13 school-level topics, 2 ministerial-level topics, 1 state-level topic have been accepted and evaluated as having quality.
School leaders presented flowers to congratulate the Faculty.
In the 2011-2012 school year alone, the Faculty had 57 scientific research works by its staff and teachers published in specialized journals and scientific journals at home and abroad. With the efforts over the past 10 years, the Faculty of Construction of Vinh University is considered the leading unit in training construction engineers in the North Central region.
In the coming time, the faculty is aiming to carry out topics and groups of topics with high applicability and economic value, associated with the local socio-economic tasks; strengthen cooperation and research with domestic and foreign scientists to create a good training environment for the teaching staff.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Nghe An province awarded certificates of merit to the faculty and individuals with outstanding achievements in management, teaching and scientific research.
