Construction of Cao Son reservoir project started

(Baonghean.vn) - On October 26, the IV Military Region Command held a groundbreaking ceremony for the investment project to build a water reservoir in Cao Son commune, Anh Son district.

Attending were Major General Nguyen Chi Huong - Deputy Commander of Military Region 4, Head of Project Management Board.

Cao Son commune reservoir project is constructed by Corporation 36 - JSC (Ministry of National Defense).

Delegates started construction of the Cao Son reservoir in Anh Son district.

The project includes the following items: Kinh Bap reservoir with a basin area of ​​0.8 km2, reservoir capacity of 0.425 x 106m3 and Cho Dot reservoir with a basin area of ​​1.2 km2, reservoir capacity of 0.740 x 106m3; earthworks, water intake culverts, flood spillways, construction and management roads (1,043m long), canals and works on the canals...; with a total investment of over 65 billion VND (of which 40 billion VND is from the state budget and 25 billion VND is from the defense budget).

The project is expected to be completed within 36 months.

Once completed, the Cao Son commune water reservoir project will provide irrigation water for hundreds of hectares of crops in the district, and domestic water for 600 households and military units stationed in the commune.

The project will contribute to improving the downstream environment, contributing to socio-economic development; and strengthening national defense and security in the area.
