Groundbreaking ceremony for Vinh Thanh Primary School (Yen Thanh)

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 10, the Central Region Disaster Prevention Support Fund coordinated with the People's Committee of Vinh Thanh commune to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Vinh Thanh Primary School, Yen Thanh.

Delegates launched the groundbreaking ceremony

Vinh Thanh II Primary School was built in 1960 and has now seriously degraded. With the investment of the local government, along with funding from ACE Life Insurance Company Limited through the Central Disaster Prevention Support Fund, the school will be completely rebuilt according to national standards. At the same time, the school will be a safe shelter for about 300 local people when the rainy and stormy season comes.

It is known that the total investment for the project is more than 5 billion VND, of which the Central Region Disaster Prevention Support Fund mobilized ACE Life Insurance Company Limited to invest 2 billion 200 million VND, and local counterpart capital is nearly 3 billion VND.

As a non-governmental organization, the Central Vietnam Disaster Prevention Support Fund has mobilized the construction of 70 community projects across the country. Located in Vinh Thanh commune, Vinh Thanh Primary School is the third project funded by the Central Vietnam Disaster Prevention Support Fund. The project is expected to take 180 days to organize and implement.

Speaking at the ceremony, a representative of the Central Region Disaster Prevention Support Fund affirmed that the Vinh Thanh Primary School project will be constructed and handed over on schedule, ensuring that it meets the learning needs of local children and is timely to serve the people during the flood season.
