Departing for a visit and New Year greetings to the soldiers and people of Truong Sa island district
On the afternoon of January 5, at Cam Ranh Military Port, inter-sectoral working groups set out to bring Tet gifts to the soldiers and people of Truong Sa island district, Khanh Hoa province.

The delegations visiting and wishing a Happy New Year to Truong Sa island district this time included representatives from many sectors, provinces and cities across the country and more than 80 reporters from central and local newspapers and radio stations.
In addition to the necessities provided according to regulations of the Ministry of National Defense, this trip also brought Tet gifts from many agencies, businesses, and localities nationwide to the soldiers and people of Truong Sa island district, including food, fresh food, fresh flowers, and daily necessities.
According to the plan, the delegations will take turns to visit and give gifts to officers, soldiers and people working and living on more than 20 islands.
Speaking at the farewell ceremony, Mr. Tran Son Hai, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee expressed his wish that the army and people of Truong Sa island district always uphold the tradition of "Fighting bravely, being proactively united, overcoming difficulties, maintaining sovereignty" to firmly protect the sovereignty of the sea, islands and continental shelf of the Fatherland; at the same time, wished the army and people on the islands a joyful, safe and economical Lunar New Year 2015.
