Using the trick of "easy work, high salary", 3 subjects colluded with subjects across the border to trick and sell 13 victims in the western communes of Nghe An to fraudulent companies in the Golden Triangle Economic Zone.

On September 17, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police said that the unit hadprosecute the case, prosecuted 3 suspects Vi Thi Lan (born in 1994), residing in Cam Lac commune, Ha Tinh province (originally from Binh Chuan commune); Lo Thi Vuong (born in 1993), residing in Nga My commune, Nghe An province and Lo Thi Nham (born in 2004), with permanent residence in Nga My commune (currently residing in An Duong ward, Hai Phong city) for the crime of "Human trafficking".

Previously, through the work of grasping the situation, the Criminal Police Department determined that in the communes of Binh Chuan, Cam Phuc, Nga My (Nghe An province) there existed a "Human trafficking" ring, with Vi Thi Lan, originally from Binh Chuan commune, being an important link in this ring.

Lan used to work abroad, so she had connections with some "bosses" across the border. Knowing that fraudulent companies in the Golden Triangle Economic Zone needed to find many Vietnamese workers, Vi Thi Lan came up with the idea of connecting with subjects in the western communes of Nghe An province, setting up a human trafficking ring, in order to make illegal profits.

To carry out her plan, Vi Thi Lan colluded with another relative, Lo Thi Vuong, residing in Nga My commune, to find a "source" of goods. With the guise of "easy work, high salary", the victims that Lan and Vuong targeted were young men and women of working age without stable jobs who were easy to entice and entice.

To make the victims more confident, in addition to the promised salary of 15-18 million VND/month, Lan and Vuong also promised to cover all travel expenses and arrange accommodation and meals during the work. Once they had tricked the victims across the border, Lan and Vuong would collude with a group of foreigners to put the victims to work at fraudulent companies in the Golden Triangle Economic Zone owned by foreigners. Victims who wanted to return home had to pay a large ransom.

It is worth mentioning that not only did Lan and Vuong trick and sell victims across the border, they also lured some of their victims to continue to contact Vietnam to trick and sell other victims, all under the guise of "easy work, high salary".

With the above trick, the subject Lo Thi Nham, with permanent residence in Nga My commune, Nghe An province (currently residing in An Duong ward, Hai Phong city), from the role of a victim sold by Lan and Vuong, also actively participated in the human trafficking ring by tricking a number of victims into being sold across the border.

The behavior of the above group of subjects has caused outrage among the people, affecting security and order in the area. In that situation, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police and Binh Chuan Commune Police promptly reported to the Director and Head of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency to direct the establishment of a special project and concentrate forces to fight.

After a period of monitoring and synchronous application of professional measures, from September 2-7, 2025, determining that the above 3 subjects were present in Vietnam, the Task Force mobilized maximum forces, established 3 working groups in Nghe An province, Ha Tinh province and Hai Phong city to simultaneously arrest Vi Thi Lan, Lo Thi Vuong and Lo Thi Nham.

At the investigation agency, the subjects confessed to their crime of "Human trafficking". Initially, the Investigation Committee clarified that the group had tricked 13 victims into entering the Golden Triangle Economic Zone to serve their fraudulent activities on the internet. The authorities also successfully rescued 13 victims who were tricked and sold by the above subjects.
