Prosecution of 6 fishermen who gambled together on a stormy day

(Baonghean.vn)- Five fishermen and a well driller were engrossed in gambling when the police raided and arrested them, confiscating 6 million VND from the gambling table.

On November 28, the Nghi Loc District Police Investigation Agency issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute the following defendants: Nguyen Van Son (born in 1991), Nguyen Van Chien (born in 1968), Nguyen Ba Canh (born in 1990), Nguyen Van Lien (born in 1960), Nguyen Van Xuan (born in 1968) residing in Nghi Thiet commune, Luong Dinh Thanh (born in 1962) residing in Nghi Xa commune, Nghi Loc district to investigate and clarify the act of gambling.

Previously, at 2:55 p.m. on November 21, the Nghi Loc Police working group discovered and caught red-handed at Nguyen Van Son's house in Nam Thinh fishing village, Nghi Thiet commune, 6 subjects: Son (homeowner), Chien, Canh, Lien, Xuan, Thanh gambling in the form of playing cards.

The seized evidence included: 5.1 million VND on the gambling mat, 2.3 million VND on Nguyen Van Son, 1 million VND on Luong Dinh Thanh, and a deck of playing cards. During the investigation, the authorities determined that the amount of money the subjects used for gambling was 6 million VND.

Currently, the case is being further investigated by Nghi Loc Police to handle the subjects according to the provisions of law./.
