Prosecution and arrest of wife who burned her husband

On October 28, Head of Can Loc District Police (Ha Tinh), Mr. Tran Van Son, said that this agency has just issued a decision to prosecute and temporarily detain Phan Thi Tuyet (born 1979) for the crime of "murder".

Earlier, at around 3am on October 20, a fire broke out in Trung Thanh hamlet, Dong Loc commune, Can Loc, seriously injuring one person. The victim was Mr. Tran Van Tu (born in 1974), a teacher at Son Loc Secondary School, Can Loc.

At the investigation agency, Tuyet stated that on the evening of October 19, Tuyet and her husband had an argument. Tu beat and chased his wife out of the house. Too upset, when her husband just went to bed, Tuyet took the can of gasoline that the victim had bought earlier, drove her motorbike, poured it on the bed and set it on fire.
