Prosecution of the suspect who beat a man to death at a bar

(Baonghean.vn) - On July 12, the Provincial Police Department's Investigation Police Agency announced that it had issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and detain Nguyen Huu Cuong (born in 1987, residing in Hamlet 8, Nam Xuan Commune, Nam Dan District) for murder.

At noon on July 2, Mr. Vuong Dinh Vinh (born in 1980), residing in Hamlet 8, Nam Xuan Commune, along with Cuong and a group of friends, went to a restaurant in the commune owned by Mr. Nguyen Ba Song (residing in Hamlet 10, Nam Xuan Commune) to drink alcohol. Afterwards, Mr. Vinh and some people had a conflict.

After a while of fighting, people discovered that Vinh was seriously injured and collapsed on the spot, so they used a motorbike to take Vinh to Nam Dan District General Hospital for emergency treatment. However, Vinh died on the way to the hospital.

Initially, suspect Cuong said that Vinh and Cuong had a conflict at the bar, then Vinh chased and beat Cuong, Cuong avoided it and Vinh crashed into a pillar, was injured and died.

Investigations showed that after drinking beer and wine, Vinh stood up to leave with his friends, Cuong hugged Vinh with the intention of inviting him to stay and drink. At this time, because he had drunk too much and was tired, Vinh refused.

Feeling embarrassed and rejected, Cuong argued with Vinh. After that, Cuong and Vinh chased each other to fight. Cuong used a piece of iron pipe propped up on the fence in front of the shop to hit Vinh in the head, causing him to collapse on the spot.

After beating Vinh, Cuong and Song (the owner of the restaurant) took Vinh to the hospital for emergency treatment, but it was too late. After Vinh died, the police also confiscated a piece of iron pipe and a knife.

Vinh’s family situation is very difficult. Vinh is the main breadwinner in the family, currently supporting his parents who are over 70 years old and 4 young children, and his wife is unemployed.
