Regarding the case of a couple who successfully sold hundreds of thousands of fake cosmetics orders, earning 6 billion VND, on May 20, Bac Giang Provincial Police announced that they had initiated a case, prosecuted the accused and applied preventive measures to temporarily detain Nguyen Van Khanh (born in 1996), in Lai village, Dai Lam commune, Lang Giang district for the act of "Production and trade of counterfeit goods".
The prosecution and detention of the accused have been approved by the People's Procuracy of Lang Giang district.

Accordingly, defendant Nguyen Van Khanh is the owner of a fake cosmetics production and trading facility in Dai Lam commune, Lang Giang district, Bac Giang province, which was raided by the Economic Police Department - Bac Giang Provincial Police in coordination with Dai Lam Commune Police and Market Management Team No. 4 - Bac Giang Provincial Market Management Department on May 7.
Investigation results determined that from around the end of 2024, Nguyen Van Khanh realized that customers needed to consume many types of cosmetic products, so he came up with the idea of producing fake cosmetics to sell for profit.

Khanh went online to research some types of body deodorants, acne treatment serums, and skin whitening products that were in high demand on the market, then ordered fake labels and packaging for these products.
To carry out production, Khanh buys machinery, raw materials, tools, bottles... and produces them at home and then sells them nationwide through e-commerce platforms Shopee and TikTok to make a profit.

In total, Nguyen Van Khanh has successfully sold over 100,000 orders to customers in provinces and cities across the country, with revenue of over 6 billion VND.
Searching Nguyen Van Khanh's production facility, the authorities seized 13 different types of cosmetics with nearly 2,500 finished products such as: makeup remover, skin cream, acne treatment serum, underarm odor treatment serum and millions of packaging, anti-counterfeit stamps, labels of all kinds and raw materials.
The Investigation Police Agency of Bac Giang Provincial Police is continuing to investigate and clarify the case to strictly handle it according to the provisions of law.
