Prosecution of murderer
(Baongheam.vn) -On December 7, Con Cuong District Police (Nghe An) initiated a case and prosecuted Luong Van Ve (born 1977), residing in Phuc village, Don Phuc commune, Con Cuong, for "murder".
According to the investigation agency, on the morning of December 4, 2012, Luong Van Ve and his nephew Nguyen Cong Hoa shot a few birds and brought them home to drink alcohol at Ve's house. When the alcohol took hold, the two uncles and nephews, Ve and Hoa, argued, then hugged and wrestled in the yard. During the struggle, thinking that the nephew was "naughty" and dared to hug and wrestle with him, Ve pulled out the knife that Hoa had on his waist and swung it to stab the nephew, but Hoa avoided it and ran away. Ve continued to chase him with the knife.
Subject of the case
While chasing, arriving at Mr. Nuoi's house, he saw Mr. Lang Vi Viet (born in 1944, Ve's neighbor) looking for a lost buffalo. Without saying a word, Ve grabbed Mr. Viet's shoulder and swung the knife into his left chest, causing Mr. Viet to collapse on the spot. After committing the crime, Ve continued to run out into the street with the knife and saw Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong (living in Lam Tra village, Bong Khe, Con Cuong) going to Don Phuc commune to sell fish and was stopping to avoid a passing car. Ve rushed from behind with the knife and stabbed Mr. Cuong in the left side.
Faced with Ve's inhumane behavior, the people reported to the police of Don Phuc commune, coordinated with the local youth to restrain and arrest Luong Van Ve and take him to the commune People's Committee. Mr. Viet died shortly after. Mr. Nguyen Van Cuong was stabbed in the stomach and was in critical condition, so he was transferred to the Southwest Nghe An Regional General Hospital for emergency treatment. He is now out of danger but his health is still very weak.
