Prosecution of the case of "intentionally causing injury" at Le Mao Secondary School

As reported, on February 11, 2011, Hoang Nam Long, a 9B student at Le Mao Secondary School (Vinh City), beat his friend in front of the school gate, leading to his death. The Investigation Police Agency, Vinh City Police, initiated a criminal case and prosecuted Hoang Nam Long for "intentionally causing injury leading to death". Le Mao Secondary School also issued a decision to temporarily suspend Hoang Nam Long (1 year).

According to Vinh City Police, due to a previous misunderstanding, Hoang Nam Long beat Le Minh Tri, a 7E student at the same school. After being beaten, Tri was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment until March 4, 2011, when he passed away due to a traumatic brain injury.
