No license, drunk driving and causing fatal accident
Despite having drunk alcohol and not having a driver's license, Dinh Van That still drove the vehicle, causing a fatal accident.
On December 22, information from Kbang District Police (Gia Lai) said that the Investigation Police Agency has decided to prosecute the case,prosecuteDefendant Dinh Van That (born in 1996, residing in Nak village, Kbang town, Kbang district, Gia Lai province) for the crime of "Violating regulations on road traffic participation".
According to authorities, at 6:00 p.m. on November 30, although he did not have a motorcycle or motorbike driving license, after consuming alcohol and beer, Dinh Van That still drove his vehicle from Kbang town to So Pai commune in the same district.
When reaching Km290+700m of Truong Son Dong road (in TDP10, Kbang town), That's car crossed into the opposite lane and hit a motorbike driven by Mr. NTL (born in 1978, residing in village 2, So Pai commune), carrying Ms. NTML (born in 1981, same address), traveling in the opposite direction.
The strong collision killed Mr. NTL, injured Ms. NTML and Dinh Van That, and both vehicles are damaged.
Immediately after the accident, Kbang District Police coordinated with relevant agencies to conduct a crime scene investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
