This afternoon, April 11th, under the chairmanship of Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Head of the Provincial Examination Steering Committee, the Steering Committee for the Recognition of Junior High School Graduation, the High School Graduation Examination for the 2012-2013 school year, and the 2013-2014 enrollment held a meeting to implement tasks in preparation for the 2013 examination, with the participation of members of the Provincial Examination Steering Committee.
(Baonghean.vn) -This afternoon, April 11th, under the chairmanship of Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Head of the Provincial Examination Steering Committee, the Steering Committee for the Recognition of Junior High School Graduation, the High School Graduation Examination for the 2012-2013 school year, and the 2013-2014 enrollment held a meeting to implement tasks in preparation for the 2013 examination, with the participation of members of the Provincial Examination Steering Committee.
An evaluation of the 2012 exams shows that, thanks to the timely guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training, the prompt direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, and the preparation work of the Department of Education and Training, the 2012 high school graduation exam and the entrance exam for grade 10 were organized seriously, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. The Department of Education and Training proactively coordinated and mobilized effective and positive contributions from various departments, levels, organizations, and the people of the province. The exam supervision process was well-organized and rigorous. The grading and review of results were strictly directed and organized. The grading committees strictly followed the regulations and guidelines of the Ministry and the Department. The results of the exams generally reflected the current quality of education in the schools.
To ensure the 2013 exams are safe, serious, fair, and accurately assess the quality of teaching and learning, while reducing costs for parents, students, and society, the 2013 exams will maintain stability in organization, specifically: the 2013 high school graduation exam will be organized in inter-school clusters; the entrance exam for grade 10 high school will be conducted through an examination method; and the entrance exam for Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School will be conducted according to the regulations on the organization and operation of the specialized high school combined with the grade 10 high school entrance exam. At the meeting, the Department of Education and Training also announced the schedule for considering and recognizing junior high school graduation for schools throughout the province from May 16th to May 20th, 2013; by May 30th, 2013, junior high schools must complete the graduation recognition process for students and send the lists to the Department of Education and Training office.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong delivered the concluding remarks at the meeting.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duong emphasized: This year's exam will continue to strictly implement Directive No. 33/2006/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister on combating corruption and overcoming the problem of excessive focus on achievements in education; the graduation rate will not be considered an achievement. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training the task of promptly issuing guiding documents, organizing and implementing the exams in a specific and detailed manner, especially the guidance on invigilation and marking procedures. He also stressed the need to strengthen communication about the purpose and significance of the exams to students, parents, and all sectors of society, contributing to their successful implementation. He directed high schools and continuing education centers to complete their academic year schedules, organize effective review sessions to ensure students master knowledge, hone skills, and have a positive mindset for the exams.
