Kim Lien Relic Site will open to visitors outside of business hours.
(Baonghean.vn) - Starting today (April 25), Kim Lien Relic Site (Nam Dan) will arrange staff to be on duty at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House at noon and late afternoon, to ensure the best service for visitors coming to visit and pay their respects.
Mr. Nguyen Bao Tuan - Director of Kim Lien Relic Site said that the unit has just sent a document to all officers and employees about the arrangement of the noon and late afternoon duty schedule at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House. This duty schedule is based on the fact that the number of visitors is increasing, many groups of visitors from far away come outside of office hours.

Previously, at many tourism meetings, some travel agencies also proposed this. They cited cases of guiding tourists from remote provinces and cities or foreign groups to visit relic sites at noon or late afternoon but there was no staff on duty because it was after working hours. This caused some inconvenience for travel agencies and tourists.
Regarding this information, Mr. Nguyen Bao Tuan said: Currently, the relic site has 65 officers and employees working and performing tasks in 3 main areas: Uncle Ho's paternal and maternal hometowns and the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan; in addition, there are a number of other nearby relics.
Although performing tasks in a large area and with a specific nature of work, the officers and employees of the relic site all strive to overcome difficulties, have a sense of responsibility and complete the assigned tasks. However, with such a number of officers and employees, it is not enough to be on duty continuously during non-business hours. The arrangement of duty at noon and late afternoon at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House starting from April 25 is an effort of the officers and employees of the relic site, to ensure the best service for visitors to visit and commemorate.
In the first quarter of 2018, Kim Lien relic site welcomed 6,734 groups of visitors with about 176,657 people. Of which, 124 were international groups, 710 people with 27 nationalities.
In the first three months of the year, the relic site also organized 103 delegations to offer flowers, incense, and report achievements at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House with solemn rituals.
