Co Loa Citadel relic site will become a historical park
This is the goal of the Master Plan for conservation, restoration and promotion of the value of the Co Loa Citadel relic site, recently approved by the Prime Minister.
Preserving and embellishing the Co Loa Relic Site, aiming to build and honor the Co Loa Citadel Relic Site to become a Historical-Ecological-Humanistic Park of the Capital Hanoi. That is the goal in the Decision approving the task of the Master Plan for preserving, embellishing and promoting the value of the Co Loa Citadel Relic Site (scale 1/2000) recently approved by the Prime Minister.

Co Loa Citadel relic site is a national historical-cultural relic site and will be one of Hanoi's main parks, a cultural-historical tourism center with many cultural characteristics.
The planning scope includes areas related to the Co Loa Citadel Relic Site and its vicinity, in the communes of Co Loa, Duc Tu, Viet Hung, Uy No, Dong Anh district.
For the 1/2000 scale zoning plan of the Co Loa Citadel relic area, the following contents were studied: Research, survey, and assessment of the current status, the history of formation and development through the periods; identification of the outstanding values of the Co Loa Citadel relic area in the national relic system.
The planning orientation for conservation and restoration of the relic will propose solutions to preserve the structure of the relic's physical heritage; determine the list and protection boundaries of the Co Loa Citadel relic complex, including three ramparts (Inner Citadel, Middle Citadel and Outer Citadel), the citadel gate, communal house, temple, shrine and other sites.
The orientation of space organization and urban design will propose solutions to exploit relic space to develop tourism and propose solutions to organize architectural space and landscape to improve the quality of life of residential areas.
For the project to preserve, restore and promote the value of the Co Loa Citadel Relic Site, the current status in the zoning plan will be assessed; a master plan for investment in construction, preservation and promotion of the value of the relic site will be developed; a master plan for management and implementation will be developed./.
