Nghe An Mental Health and War Invalids Nursing Center holds a discussion on the 40th anniversary of its establishment

Going through a long journey with many difficulties and obstacles, but with the solidarity and efforts of the staff, over the past 40 years, Nghe An Mental and Neurological Nursing Area has continuously strived, affirming itself as a reliable address of the province in policy work for People with revolutionary contributions.

Currently, the nursing home is caring for 92 policy beneficiaries according to regulations. The quality of on-site examination and treatment, service, care for wounded soldiers and policy beneficiaries is increasingly improved. In particular, rehabilitation work is gradually being innovated, contributing positively to memory recovery and labor rehabilitation for mentally ill people.

Up to now, 100% of the subjects receiving centralized care at the unit have stable health, especially mental health. The number of subjects who frequently have agitation attacks has gradually decreased and is only 10-15 people/year, a decrease of 5-10%/year. The number of subjects with partial memory recovery accounts for 75%-80%, an increase of 5-10%/year; the number of patients transferred to higher-level facilities is decreasing.
