(Baonghean) –Flash floods after storm No. 2 caused severe damage to National Highway 7 and National Highway 48 in Nghe An province. These two routes are located in the area managed by Road Management Area IV.

With the spirit of not being afraid of difficulties and hardships, all employees of Ky Son Road Management Department (under National Highway Area IV) are ready to forget their own and their families' difficulties to do a good job of rescue work, ensuring that the roads are cleared as soon as possible.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Hoai (Youth Union of National Highway IV) presented gifts to Hoang Dinh Lam's family.

Ky Son Highway Management Department has 14 officers and employees - all of whose families have suffered heavy losses. They themselves have not had time to take care of their families but have to overcome the flood to be present at the unit to guard, direct traffic, and ensure traffic safety. When the water recedes, they continue to fix damaged bridges and roads to respond as quickly and promptly as possible to fix damaged areas, ensuring smooth traffic to serve the relief work for the people.

When the storm and flood occurred, the staff of Ky Son Road Management District focused on helping people escape the flood, while all the machinery, equipment, archives, utensils, and items of the collective and individuals in the unit were damaged or swept away by the flood. In particular, the family of Mr. Hoang Dinh Lam (employee of Ky Son Road Management District) had a 3-room wooden house that was swept away by the flood, eroding all the land. His whole family was left homeless. He only had time to build a temporary hut on his relatives' garden land to continue with the traffic rescue work, participating in the construction of connecting the broken road sections.

With the spirit of mutual love and support, "the strong help the weak", on July 9, 2011, the Youth Union of the QLDB IV agency organized a visit to the Ky Son Road Management District (under the QLDB and XDDB 1 Member Co., Ltd. 495) who is directly working to overcome the consequences of the storm on National Highway 7. The Labor Union of the QLDB IV agency, the Youth Union of the agency and the Labor Union of Company 495 supported the staff of the Ky Son Road Management District with 15 million VND. In particular, the family of Mr. Hoang Dinh Lam received 20 million VND.
