Review of commune police for threatening people
(Baonghean) - On January 3, 2012, after receiving an official dispatch from Nghe An Newspaper transferring a complaint from Mr. Ho Tien Hoa - a war invalid in hamlet 8, Quynh Luong commune (Quynh Luu) accusing Mr. Bui Duy Thang - Quynh Luong commune police and his brothers and children of taking advantage of their position as commune officials to threaten his family to occupy and destroy planted trees in the coastal protection forest, Quynh Luu District People's Committee worked with Quynh Luong Commune People's Committee and directed the commune to resolve the case. On March 8, 2012, Quynh Luu District People's Committee issued Document No. 334/UBND/TNMT reporting the handling results as follows:
The People's Committee of the commune has drawn up a record of administrative violations, imposed a fine on Mr. Bui Duy Chien (son of Mr. Bui Duy Thang), and assigned him the responsibility of not repeating the act of uprooting the tree that Mr. Ho Tien Hoa's family had planted. Regarding Mr. Bui Duy Thang related to the uprooting of the tree, the People's Committee of Quynh Luong commune has conducted a review, Mr. Thang directly apologized to Mr. Hoa and Mr. Hoa accepted.
Regarding the damaged property, which is Mr. Hoa's eucalyptus garden, the People's Committee of Quynh Luong Commune requested Mr. Thang to compensate Mr. Hoa's family with a total amount of 1.14 million VND. Mr. Ho Tien Hoa's family completely agreed with the settlement of the People's Committee of the Commune and did not make any further complaints.
