Forest rangers of Pu Hoat Nature Reserve were assaulted by illegal loggers
(Baonghean.vn) - The forest ranger who was seriously injured by the loggers was Mr. Luu Nhat Thanh (born in 1978), Deputy Head of the Forest Ranger Department and Head of the Forest Protection Station of Pu Hoat Nature Reserve (Que Phong district).

When the patrolling rangers arrived at the scene, Mr. Thanh had been beaten unconscious and was lying on the side of the road. The Pu Hoat Nature Reserve Management Board took Mr. Thanh to Que Phong District General Hospital for emergency treatment. However, Mr. Thanh continued to feel dizzy and had headaches, so at noon on August 5, he was transferred to Nghe An General Hospital.

According to Dr. Phan Sy Thai - Department of Neurology, Nghe An General Hospital, patient Thanh was admitted to the Neurology Department at 5:00 p.m. on August 5. Patient Thanh had symptoms such as dizziness, headache, multiple bruises on the face, and an X-ray showed a deviated nasal septum. Through diagnosis, patient Thanh suffered from a concussion.
According to the Pu Hoat Nature Reserve Management Board, after the incident of the bandits assaulting the staff, the Board reported to the District People's Committee, the Police, and the District People's Procuracy; at the same time, it requested the police to coordinate with the Thong Thu Commune People's Committee and Thong Thu Border Guard Station to investigate the incident.
