(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the direction of the Central Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on Food Safety and Hygiene, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Decision No. 4173/QD-UBND.VX dated August 27, 2014, establishing an inter-sectoral team including: Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Health, Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Provincial Police, and Food Safety and Hygiene Sub-Department to conduct food safety and hygiene inspections during the Mid-Autumn Festival in Vinh city, Hoang Mai town, Cua Lo town, Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Nghi Loc, Hung Nguyen, and Nam Dan districts.

Accordingly, the interdisciplinary team will conduct inspections of compliance with legal regulations on ensuring food safety and hygiene of establishments producing, processing, trading, importing food and catering services such as: certificates of food safety eligibility according to regulations, health certificates, food safety and hygiene training certificates of people directly involved in food processing, origin of food additives... In addition, the team will focus on inspecting food items consumed a lot during the Mid-Autumn Festival such as cakes, candies, jams, sausages, beer, wine, soft drinks... Through inspection activities, promptly detect, prevent and strictly handle violations, contributing to the good work of caring for and protecting the people.
