Check areas vulnerable to tax fraud

According to the General Department of Taxation, in 2012, the entire tax sector plans to conduct tax inspections on over 7,700 businesses; and conduct tax audits at taxpayers' headquarters (including post-tax refund audits) nearly 56,500 times.

Priority areas for inspection and audit are finance and banking, pharmaceuticals, real estate, electricity, oil and gas, post and telecommunications, and minerals. The business sector includes foreign-invested enterprises, enterprises with related transactions, enterprises with signs of transfer pricing, loss-making enterprises, etc.
