Checking the preparation of the ceremony to honor Nghe Tinh folk songs

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 22, the Steering Committee and Organizing Committee of the Ceremony to honor Nghe Tinh Vi and Giam folk songs recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage of humanity held a working session to review preparations for the ceremony.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting. Also attending were Comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee of Nghe An; leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces and related sub-committees.

With the aim of honoring the intangible cultural heritage of folk songs, Vi, Giam of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, in order to preserve and promote them so that they can spread more and more strongly. The honoring ceremony will take place at 7:30 p.m. on January 31, 2015 at Ho Chi Minh Square, the program will be broadcast live on VTV1, VTV4, NTV, HTV. In order for the ceremony to take place solemnly, leaving a deep impression on the people and international friends, in accordance with the traditional customs of the nation, the preparation work is determined to be extremely important.

At the meeting, the heads of the subcommittees of propaganda, logistics, sponsorship, security... reported on the work that had been deployed and completed, such as: completing the draft of speeches at the ceremony; completing the overall script for the Honoring Ceremony program and the detailed script for the ceremony; developing the seating chart for delegates; completing the content of publications as gifts; completing the program for the Diploma Procession from Nghe An to Ha Tinh; sending invitations to delegates...

On this occasion, playwright Vu Hai also reported on the process of rehearsing and staging the art program “Ve mien vi, giam” – the main program of the honoring ceremony. Up to this point, the content, art, sound... have been unified as per the approved script. On the evening of January 29, the art program will have its final rehearsal.

Comrade Bui Duc Hanh - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh reported on the work that has been implemented.

Concluding the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that this was the last meeting to review the content before the ceremony took place. He acknowledged the efforts of the subcommittees, departments and relevant agencies who were very responsible in implementing and assigning tasks. From now until the honoring day, the heads of the subcommittees were requested to review the tasks of the members who were assigned to take urgent and timely action. In particular, the art program "Returning to the Vi and Giam region" must demonstrate the most quintessential and unique features of folk songs, Vi and Giam of Nghe An.
