Checking the construction progress of the overpass on National Highway 46 connecting to Dang Thai Mai Street

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 6, comrade Huynh Thanh Dien -Vice Chairman of Provincial People's CommitteeThe delegation inspected the construction progress and site clearance of the overpass project at the intersection of National Highway 46 connecting Dang Thai Mai Street with National Highway 1A in Nghi Kim Commune, Vinh City.

Also attending were leaders of Vinh City People's Committee and relevant departments and branches.

The overpass project at the intersection between National Highway 46 connecting Dang Thai Mai Street with National Highway 1A and the North-South railway is part of the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 1A, Quan Hanh - Quan Banh section, constructed by the joint venture of Hoa Hiep Company Limited and 468 Investment Joint Stock Company.

The total contract value of the project is 190 billion VND, of which 160 billion VND has been implemented, reaching 84%; disbursement of 139 billion VND. Currently, the construction parties are speeding up the construction progress. The lower part, bridge deck, box culvert, and bridge retaining wall have been completed. Regarding the service road, on Dang Thai Mai Street, 1.7/1.7 km has been paved with layer 1 asphalt concrete; on National Highway 46, up to now, 0.5/1.05 km (both sides) has been paved with Base (completed sections with handed over the site).

However, the current difficulty is that the site clearance work affects the construction of the feeder road. The total number of affected households is 237 households (including 231 households and 6 agencies) in Nghi Kim, Nghi Phu, Hung Dong communes and Quan Bau ward, up to now there are still 83 households and public works. Currently, the site has been handed over for 2.0 km/2.5 km.

After inspecting the situation at the construction site, listening to the investor, departments and branches report and conclude at the working session, comrade Huynh Thanh Dien highly appreciated the efforts of the investor and contractors to overcome difficulties and speed up the construction progress. To complete, organize the opening of traffic and inauguration scheduled for the end of January 2015, he requested the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Compensation Council of Vinh City to direct relevant units to relocate items, protect the construction, and hand over the site before January 10, 2015.
