Inspect and handle illegal mineral activities in the province

On the afternoon of July 25, the Provincial People's Committee held a launching ceremony to implement Decision No. 2636/QD-UBND-NC on the establishment of working groups to inspect and handle illegal mineral activities in the province. Attending the event was comrade Ho Duc Phoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

In recent times, the situation of illegal mining in the province has been quite complicated, causing loss of State assets; especially harming the ecological environment, causing instability in security and order, affecting the lives and property of the people. In this situation, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 2636 to establish working groups to inspect and handle illegal mining activities in the province. Accordingly, two working groups were established to inspect along National Highway 7 and National Highway 48, in which the Provincial Police were assigned as the core force.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, comrade Ho Duc Phoc emphasized: Inspecting and handling illegal mineral exploitation activities is a heavy, arduous, difficult and complicated task, so the working groups need to have solutions and synchronous coordination in the process of performing the task, in order to handle it quickly, strongly and thoroughly. For cases of continued intentional violations, after inspection and handling, there will be stricter measures and prosecution may be carried out. The areas focused on inspection and handling are key areas such as Que Phong, Quy Hop, Tuong Duong, along rivers, streams....

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also hopes that the organizations and members participating in the working group need to unite and cooperate, especially to improve their capacity and overcome all difficulties to perform well the assigned tasks. At the same time, localities need to uphold their sense of responsibility and role to have the best support and coordination with the groups in the process of performing the tasks. The Provincial People's Committee will ensure the best conditions for the working groups to complete their tasks well.
