Inspect and handle violations in mineral activities

Implementing the direction of the Government Office in Official Dispatch No. 10610/VPCP-KTN dated December 31, 2014 on inspection and handling of violations in mineral activities, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Departments of Natural Resources and Environment, Construction, Industry and Trade, Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Tax Department; Provincial Police; People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to continue seriously and effectively implementing the state management of mineral activities in assigned fields and areas of responsibility according to the decision of the Provincial People's Committee on promulgating regulations on coordination in the management of mineral resources in the area; urgently carry out a number of specific tasks:
Continue to strengthen and take drastic and effective measures to protect unlicensed mineral resources; especially river sand and gravel, metal ores, landfill land, land for brick and tile production...; strictly handle organizations and individuals who violate the law.
Review post-licensing obligations, take measures to require enterprises to fully perform their obligations according to regulations after being licensed to exploit and process minerals; only advise and propose the Provincial People's Committee to grant or extend exploration licenses, mineral exploitation licenses, and explosives use licenses when enterprises have fully performed their obligations according to regulations, and exploited and processed according to design and procedures to ensure safety.
Assign the Department of Construction and the Department of Industry and Trade to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and district-level People's Committees to organize inspections and assessments of mining processes at mineral mines; especially underground tin mines and construction stone mines that have received handling recommendations from the interdisciplinary inspection teams established by the Provincial People's Committee to rectify and strictly handle cases that do not have remedial measures; report implementation results and advise the Provincial People's Committee to handle violations beyond its authority before the date of10/4/2015.
