(Baonghean.vn) - In 2015, the Department of Transport organized 15 inspection teams to handle oversized vehicles, inspected more than 2,000 cases of organizations and individuals, made records, imposed fines of 3.8 billion VND, and revoked driving licenses of 334 cases.

On the morning of December 22, the Department of Transport held a conference to summarize the transport work in 2015 and deploy a plan to serve passenger transport during the 2016 Binh Than Spring Festival in the province.

In 2015, transportation activities in the province have had positive changes in both quality and quantity in management, operation and service. Currently, the Department of Transport has granted licenses to 23 passenger transport business units by car with 2,397 cars; granted new passenger transport business licenses to 5 units to issue and renew about 2,900 transport business badges; and granted 3,700 Vietnam-Laos intermodal transport licenses.

The department's inspectors have recorded 2,100 violations with fines totaling more than VND1.5 billion. Through data extracted from the journey monitoring device, the Transport Management Department has advised the department's leaders to revoke 252 speeding badges; and criticized and warned 66 transport businesses.

Air transport has improved a lot, currently operating 6 routes with a frequency of 28 flights/day, and is promoting the opening of the Vinh – Bangkok route. In 2015, the number of passengers passing through the airport reached about 1.3 million…

In addition, the station maintained 24/7 operation to inspect more than 10,000 vehicles, handled 2,357 cases, unloaded nearly 2,000 tons of goods, with a total fine of more than 12 billion VND, and cut the truck beds of 10 Howo trucks and 41 trucks with unauthorized extensions.
