Kim Lien (Nam Dan) mobilizes forces to prevent and fight forest fires.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 8th, the Kim Lien Commune Youth Union (Nam Dan District), in coordination with the militia, the commune police, and the Chung Mountain Protective Forest Management Board, organized a ceremony to launch the 2014 forest fire prevention campaign with the participation of over 80 people.

Youth union members clear undergrowth to prevent forest fires.

The forces cleared and renewed more than 4 km of firebreaks; processed 40 hectares of undergrowth, swept and collected flammable materials from the forest. This is an annual activity aimed at promoting the spirit of initiative and volunteerism, as well as raising awareness among youth union members in preventing forest fires, protecting and caring for the forest; especially to prevent the spread of fires and minimize damage from forest fires.
