Nghe An's import-export turnover reaches over 5 billion USD
That is the figure stated in the conference to summarize 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025 organized by Nghe An Customs Department this afternoon, December 9. In order to facilitate trade and investment activities in the area, increase import and export turnover, and increase revenue for the State budget, Nghe An Provincial Customs Department has focused on the following tasks: Supervising and managing import and export activities, temporary import and re-export, temporary export and re-import, and transit goods to ensure strict compliance with regulations; promptly resolving difficulties in customs procedures, creating favorable conditions for import and export activities and investment activities in the area.
Issue decisions on granting new permits and extending the location for goods inspection at factory production facilities; Organize propaganda and guidance on policies, regimes and laws on Customs in assigned fields for organizations and individuals according to regulations through the one-stop department of Nghe An Provincial Customs Department; Organize the 2024 Customs - Business Dialogue Conference.

Coordinate the provision and exchange of information on contents related to the management of import and export enterprises in the area for relevant agencies and units; Support enterprises providing shipping services, import and export enterprises to ensure effective implementation of Resolution No. 03/2023/NQ-HDND dated July 7, 2023 of the Provincial People's Council on regulations on policies to support shipping lines transporting international and domestic containers, supporting enterprises with exported or imported goods transported by container to and from Cua Lo port, Nghe An province.
In 2024, 569 enterprises participated in customs procedures with a total of 85,414 import and export declarations (including 36,225 import declarations, 49,189 import declarations:, an increase of 50.25% compared to 2023). Main export items: limestone and white limestone powder of all kinds, steel pipes, steel sheets, processed garments, electronic accessories (headphones, chargers, cables, etc.), electric cable sets for cars, car panels, diesel fuel oil, etc. Thanks to that, by November 30, the total import and export turnover reached more than 5 billion USD (an increase of 59.36% compared to the same period in 2023).
In 2024, the Customs Department directed and guided units to effectively implement policies on taxes, tax rates, tax calculation prices, and properly implement the consultation process to determine tax calculation prices; collect correctly, fully and pay the state budget on time. By November 30, the state budget revenue at Nghe An Customs Department was more than VND 1,595 billion, reaching 122.72% of the 2024 state budget revenue target (reaching 120.23% of the 2024 target (VND 1,327 billion).

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the performance of Nghe An Customs in 2024. He stated: 2025 is the final year of the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021-2025, the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress and the 13th National Party Congress. Nghe An Provincial Customs Department needs to be determined, try hard and make efforts in implementing solutions to improve the investment and business environment, support and develop enterprises; promote efficiency, remove difficulties in production and business, promote growth, and create a favorable environment for economic development.
