Horrifying referee got his head smashed by a throw

Perhaps now referees and players need to wear helmets on the field because recently, whenever fans "don't like it", they throw anything on the field. The match between Borac and Zeljeznicar in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup was also forced to be abandoned midway through the match because the linesman's head was broken by a fan throwing something at him.

The match between Borac and Zeljeznicar took place in a very violent and tense atmosphere. In the second half of the match, witnessing the home team Borac being led 1-0 by Zeljeznicar, the fans of this team could not control their anger and threw bottles, hard objects and anything they could get their hands on onto the field. Unfortunately, a linesman was hit in the head, blood flowing down his face. Immediately after that, the main referee Midhat Arnatuvic stopped the match and declared it abortive.
