KPL: Lao Air Force plane crashes in Xiangkhouang
KPL news agency reported that the Prime Minister's Office announced that the Lao Air Force AN-74TK300 aircraft crashed at 7 a.m. on May 17, local time, in Nadee village, Paek district, Xiengkouang province.

Authorities are assisting survivors.
The news agency also said the cause of the accident is under investigation and developments surrounding the accident will be announced later.
Meanwhile, according to international news agencies, there were about 20 people on the plane when the accident happened, including many high-ranking Lao officials.
Initial information also said that at least 5 people were killed.
