Kuwait: Sheikh Jaber reappointed as prime minister
Reuters quoted Kuwait's national news agency KUNA as saying that on December 5, the country's King Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah reappointed Sheikh Jaber al-Mubarak al-Sabah as prime minister and asked him to form a new government after the parliamentary election on December 1.

The KUNA news agency said that Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah issued the decree after the opposition boycotted the election.
According to Kuwait's Constitution, Sheikh Jaber, who has served as prime minister since November 2011, needs to form a cabinet before the first session of the new parliament, scheduled for December 16.
Earlier on December 3, the old cabinet of this Gulf country resigned./.
