Weird World Naked Gardening Day

“Nude gardening is not just fun, it reminds us that spending just a few minutes in the sun is like being honest with ourselves as part of this planet,” the meaning of Nude Gardening Day is shared on the event's official website.

On this day, you can find an opportunity to comfortably garden naked alone, with friends, family or a group of people who share your interests. The location can be your garden or a city park (with permission from the government). Simply take off your clothes and make your garden more beautiful and attractive like you. Then, share this interesting experience of yours. This is an opportunity to remind everyone to be aware of the natural world and raise the spirit of environmental protection.

Mark Storey, editor of Nude & Natural magazine, and cultural activist and activist Jacob Gabriel of the Body Freedom Collaborative are the American founders of Naked Gardening Day. The day was inspired by the first World Naked Bike Ride in 2004, which Storey participated in, and incorporated ideas from Gabriel.

The first Naked Gardening Day was held on September 10, 2005. In 2007, the event officially moved to the first Saturday in May each year, the day before International Eco-Gardening Day (the first Sunday in May).
