Looking back at that time, it was not only luck but also the care and education of Bobbie and her husband Kenny that made the miracle. Back in 1997, Bobbie and Kenny wanted to have a second child, they went to the IVF Center for help because Bobbie was having trouble getting pregnant. The children were born very small, each weighing only about 1.13 kg and the heaviest was 1.5 kg. Doctors tried their best to keep the seven children alive and let them grow up healthy. Alexis and Nathan were born with symptoms of cerebral palsy, but after surgery, their condition improved. Currently, they are all healthy and go to school like other children. Having seven children at once was a big financial pressure for the McCaughey family. Fortunately, they received help from charity centers and benefactors. They were given a new, larger house, free school meals and had fun holidays. Besides, Kenny also worked hard because it was a way for him to teach the children about the importance of what they achieved. |
