3rd Session - Anh Son District People's Council: 17/25 socio-economic targets achieved and exceeded the plan
(Baonghean) - On December 26, the People's Council of Anh Son district, term XVII, held its third session for the 2011-2016 term to evaluate the socio-economic, national defense and security situation in 2011 and propose solutions to implement socio-economic, national defense and security tasks in 2012.
In 2011, Anh Son district's economy grew quite well, with total production value estimated at 1,628 billion VND, reaching 92% of the plan, up 8.9% over the same period. Food output reached 47,740 tons; trade and services developed, total retail sales estimated at 232 billion VND. Total budget revenue reached 26,433 million VND, reaching 143% of the plan, up 26% over 2010. Average income per capita reached 21.3 million VND/year. 100% of communes met national health standards, natural population growth rate was 0.66%, birth rate decreased by 0.37%. Anh Son had 17/25 socio-economic targets completed and exceeded the set plan.
Delegates attending the meeting spent time discussing in groups and in the hall the goals, targets and solutions for socio-economic development, national defense and security in 2012; at the same time, they raised difficulties in implementing economic development targets in the coming time, and pressing social issues in social life that need to be addressed by all levels and sectors.
