Signing the first credit contract under Decree 67
(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of April 17, at the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam, Nghe An branch (BIDV), a credit contract signing ceremony took place to support fishermen in borrowing capital to build offshore fishing vessels to implement Decree 67/ND-CP of the Government.
Attending were Comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and the State Bank.

Accordingly, the credit contract was signed between BIDV and fisherman Nguyen Sy Thiet, residing in Phuc Tho commune, Nghi Loc district. The contract has a total value of 4,180 billion VND (equal to the maximum loan amount of 70% as prescribed) to build a wooden trawler, with a loan term of 7 years, loan interest rate within 7 years. In which, the customer pays 3%/year, the first year the customer is exempt from interest. The collateral is all assets formed from the loan capital and the customer's own capital participating in the project. The total investment of the ship is nearly 6 billion VND, with a capacity of 490CV, ensuring safe, stable and economically efficient offshore exploitation.

This is the first credit contract to support fishermen under Decree 67 in Nghe An province. The hull of the ship has been completed by Hai Chau Shipbuilding Company Limited following the design of Nha Trang University of Fisheries. On behalf of Nghe An fishermen, Mr. Nguyen Sy Thiet said: The credit contract is a good sign, a motivation, adding strength for fishermen to confidently go out to sea, stabilize their lives, and contribute to protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
Ms. Le Thi Mong Ly, Deputy Director of BIDV Nghe An Branch, affirmed that in the coming time, BIDV Nghe An will continue to implement Decree 67 in a synchronous and drastic manner with the aim of providing maximum support to fishermen, helping fishermen quickly stabilize their lives to go offshore, stick to the sea, and develop the economy.
Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Dinh Viet Hong welcomed the active participation of BIDV and the efforts of the Provincial Steering Committee for the implementation of Decree 67. He requested BIDV and relevant agencies to proactively remove difficulties and obstacles to speed up the disbursement process, complete and put the ship into operation soon. Continue to speed up the appraisal process of other loan applications to help fishermen quickly access preferential capital from the Government.
