Speaking at the conference, Major General Pham The Tung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department said that the work of ensuring security and order associated with the effective implementation of socio-economic development policies in recent times has contributed to gradually improving the material and spiritual life of people in border, mountainous and ethnic areas. However, in practice, there are still many issues that need attention and coordination to be resolved.

Some economic development and social security policies are still ineffective, and violations, negativity, and loss of state budget still occur during the implementation process; the mass movement to protect national security in border areas and mountainous areas is not really strong and unsustainable.

The crime and law violation situation still contains many complex factors, especially national and religious security, violations of border regulations, and illegal immigration.

Project implementation "Border commune clean of drugs"The fundamental problems have not been thoroughly resolved, lacking sustainability, especially in solving employment and stabilizing the lives of post-rehabilitation drug addicts and released prisoners with especially difficult circumstances...

Faced with the above situation, with the consent of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial Police and the Provincial Ethnic Committee agreed to sign a coordination charter.

Accordingly, based on the draft coordination regulations, the conference delegates discussed, pointed out the advantages and difficulties, as well as proposed and recommended many related issues.

In particular, the Provincial Police will preside over and continue to advise on mobilizing resources and solutions to support drug prevention and control work and "clean up" drugs in border communes in 2022.

The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee coordinates and guides relevant agencies in the work of propaganda to prevent and combat drug-related social evils and crimes; supports and manages, educates, and helps drug addicts after rehabilitation and those serving prison sentences to reintegrate into the community; mobilizes funds to buy plants and seedlings, build works for the community, buy medical equipment, and schools for border, mountainous, and ethnic communes.

The Provincial Ethnic Committee advises on implementing policies to support economic development, creating conditions for drug addicts after rehabilitation, people serving prison sentences returning to their localities, and people returning to their localities after rehabilitation to access loans for production and business, stabilize their lives, and prevent the risk of reoffending.
